Bloomberg: SEC will get the right to regulate stablecoins


Edition of Bloomberg co citing informed sources reported that the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) will get a right to regulate Stablecoins. This was reported in the report of the American regulator PWG. A bill has been formed that will be proposed in Congress. If approved, Stablecoins will be regulated on a bank deposit basis.

The source says that special pressure in the creation of this bill came from the head of the SEC Gary Gensler. They also admitted that this would be "bad news" for the industry, as most market participants see this as a threat to the development of the industry.
