Donald Trump again on Twitter called on the US Federal Reserve to switch to the practice of negative rates. He did this again after representatives of the Federal Reserve spoke out against these measures. Trump noted that other countries are already taking advantage of negative rates and the Fed should give this “gift.”

To prevent the current crisis, the Federal Reserve has already moved to a policy of unlimited quantitative easing and reduced the rate to 0.25-0%. Trillions of freshly printed dollars are also flowing into the US economy. But, apparently, Donald Trump considers these measures insufficient and requires lowering the rate below zero.

Today, the US stock market shows a decline, perhaps investors were scared by the excessive activity of the US president.
