Dutch authorities require crypto companies to register
According to CoinDesk, cryptocurrency companies in the Netherlands must be licensed by the country's Central Bank before May 18. Otherwise, the company will be closed.
The new rules entered into force on April 21, following the adoption by the Netherlands of new anti-money laundering legislation, as recommended by the FATF.
Local crypto companies are confident that the regulator’s requirements are excessive. But the Dutch authorities believe that they have enough time.
