Hackers steal data from Coincheck exchange
The Japanese exchange Coincheck, which was hacked in 2018 and later bought out by the brokerage firm Monex Group, announced the leak of customer data.
It is reported that the attackers gained access to email addresses, name and selfie of customers. In total, about 200 Coincheck customers were affected. The exchange said that hackers gained access to the domain registration service. Immediately after the data leak, Coincheck changed the registration information.
