In 2020, a record drop in demand for luxury goods is expected

    According to the consulting company Bain & Co and the Italian luxury goods company Fondazione Altagamma, in 2020 the market for goods “Personal luxury” will decrease by a record 20–35% to 180–220 billion euros.

    In 2019, purchases of luxury goods increased by 7% to 281 billion euros, and by 2025 growth was expected to reach 320-365 billion euros. Now, Bain & Co believes that the 2019 figures will only be achieved in 2022–2023.
