In April, 20.23 million private sector employees were left without work

According to the ADP (National Employment Report) in April, the private sector laid off 20.23 million employees. In addition, according to the co-chair of the ADP research institute, this figure may be underestimated, since the data was taken on the basis of the company's payrolls dated April 12.

St. Louis Fed Chairman James Bullard said that increasing unemployment in the private sector is “not a surprise,” and in his opinion this figure will drop significantly in the second half of 2020, when countries return to normal economic life.
