The State Duma has proposed bills prohibiting any operations with cryptocurrencies

Several bills have been submitted to the State Duma at once that concern the regulation of cryptocurrencies. They suggest the prohibition of any transactions with cryptocurrencies and the introduction of administrative and criminal liability for violation.
Draft authors propose banning the use of bitcoin and altcoins to pay for goods and services, as well as a means of exchanging and transferring value. In addition, the issuance of digital coins is also prohibited. Along with this, cryptocurrencies can be seized in the event of bankruptcy, by a court decision or by inheritance transfer. You can own cryptocurrencies only by declaring them with an indication of the source of the acquisition.
If these bills are passed, violators will face fines of up to 2 million rubles, confiscation of assets, and a prison term of up to 7 years.
