Three cryptostaraps plan to obtain a broker dealer license

Media reports that crypto projects Abra, BitGo and MakerDAO plan to acquire existing brokerage companies in order to thereby obtain the right to the provision of financial services.

This move is needed for cryptocurrencies to protect against possible claims from US financial regulators. So the Abra trading application is already forced to partially limit the available functions for American customers, but a broker-dealer license will allow them to be restored. Although the MakerDAO project is a decentralized company, the regulator can consider it as a credit institution. BitGO, as a service for storing cryptocurrencies, a license is needed to work with institutional investors.
