Index

According to the US Department of Labor, for the week from April 27 to May 2, the number of applications to receive unemployment benefits fell to 3.17 million people. Despite the fact that unemployment in the United States remains at a historically maximum level, this indicator showed a decrease. So, from April 20 to 25, a record 22.64 million people applied for benefits, and a week before - 18.01 million.
Some analysts believe that over the current week the number of applications will not exceed 3 million, and almost 20 million Americans will continue to receive benefits.
